Starting to plan your spring or summer golf getaway to the Myrtle Beach/Pawleys Island area? Here are a few of the area’s newest attractions you may want to consider adding to your itinerary.
Opening its third location in Myrtle Beach, in addition to restaurants in Destin and Gulf Shores, Lucy Buffett’s LuLu’s provides a perfect combination of coastal cuisine and live entertainment. The family-friendly atmosphere and waterfront setting have the made the restaurant incredibly successful despite opening its doors just one year ago.
Lucy Buffett, LuLu’s founder, is actually one of two sisters to celebrity musician Jimmy Buffett. Needless to say, the live music scheduled for almost every single day at LuLu’s is some of the best. But the food comes first at this hangout where the gluten-free, seafood-free, egg-free, soy-free, and dairy-free menus are sure to accommodate all customers. Although everything at LuLu’s leaves you wanting more, some of our personal favorites include The Crazy Sista Burger and the Fresh Gulf Red Snapper Sandwich.
Looking for more delicious food? Be sure to take a trip to Tin Roof, Myrtle Beach’s hottest new bar where “everybody is a regular.” Tin Roof is all about highlighting musicians of every genre with performances scheduled daily and a professional sound and lighting system in place. Although music is at the heart of the restaurant, the food and drinks are equally as impressive.
Highlights of the menu at Tin Roof include the Dixie Biscuits and the Smashville, a custom burger topped with BBQ pulled pork, bacon and slaw. Tin Roof also offers 16 draft beer selections and a variety of tasty cocktails. Enjoy a cold drink while relaxing on the rooftop patio overlooking the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and the Atlantic Ocean.
And for all the great golf you’ll enjoy at Caledonia and True Blue, and with our neighbors along the Waccamaw Golf Trail and throughout the Grand Strand, the area now boasts a dynamic new form of golf entertainment: Topgolf. If you’re not familiar with the brand, Topgolf is known for its entertaining nightlife and delicious food and drinks all centered around a multi-tiered driving range. With more than 30 locations nationwide, Topgolf turns the monotonous task of hitting balls on the range into a competitive and fun event. The range itself includes multiple targets and stadium lights so you can keep golfing even after the sun goes down. Topgolf Myrtle Beach also features 72 climate-controlled hitting bays that can host groups of up to six people, all furnished with heated seating and dozens of high-definition televisions.
