The Campbell University women’s team put the pedal to the floor in its final two rounds to pull away from the field at the 2022 Golfweek Fall Challenge at Caledonia Golf & Fish Club.
Campbell’s Tomita Arejola (-8 for the tournament), Sanna Lundmark (-3), Izabella Grimbrandt (-3) and Isabella Hahne (E) led the Fighting Camels to a convincing victory over second-place UNC-Wilmington. They were four of only 16 golfers in the 104-player women’s field to finish at or under par at Caledonia. Lipscomb came in third place.
Arejola finished one stroke behind Austin Peay’s Erica Scutt, who took top individual honors in the women’s championship.
The women’s teams competing at Caledonia in the Golfweek Fall Challenge included Austin Peay, Presbyterian, Delaware, Gardner-Webb, Jacksonville State, Stephen F. Austin, Tennessee Tech, Cal Baptist, Illinois-Chicago, Winthrop, Georgetown, UNC-Wilmington, Campbell, Wofford, Morehead State, New Mexico State, East Tennessee State, Lipscomb, USC Upstate and Appalachian State.
